The design called for a simple but internationally recognizable mark. The icon consists of two arrows going up and down in both directions: the motion of a freediver submerging and resurfacing. In the negative space a slanted letter S is visible. The mark's red and blue are classic colors tied to sports, but also symbolize the gas exchange happening in the lungs of an athlete.
